CIT

Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen Induction Therapy utilizes a specialized device with needles to make micro openings in the top layer of the skin to induce regeneration via the wound healing cascade. Just as you have to stress muscle fibers to build more muscle, this stress on the lower layers of the skin will stimulate the body to self-repair with more structural support. Microinjury of the skin also resets and reboots cellular function to reduce dark spots and help to smooth the surface of the skin.

After your CIT treatment, your skin will be brighter, feel firmer, and look smoother. While you can do just one treatment, a series of 3 is recommended for the best results. These treatments are usually spaced out 3 weeks apart. A full consultation is required prior to the first treatment.

Once you have completed a series only 2-3 per year will help to maintain your results!

HA or AnteAge?

As you've seen there is a choice for your treatment to use either Hyaluronic Acid (HA) or AnteAge. For some your health history may mean that we will have to use HA and others will have the option of either, this is something we will review during your consultation. I wanted to break it down here so you can see the differences and advantages of each.

If you have a history of skin cancer or a family history of skin cancer we will be using the HA glide solution.

HA

Hyaluronic acid provides lubrication and is a powerful humectant that promotes rapid re-hydration and volume enhancement within the upper layers of the skin. Because it is something that your body makes naturally it works synergistically during treatment to provide glide as well as rehydration, without causing irritation.

AnteAGE

AnteAGE Microneedling Solution contains pro-healing, anti-inflammatory growth factors, and cytokines derived from laboratory culture of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, the specialized cells that science has determined function as “command and control” of healing in all injured tissues. AnteAGE products contain no cells or cell remnants (they are removed during ultrafiltration, the final step in the laboratory culture process). This solution also contains some HA to assist in the glide of the device during treatment.
