Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is a treatment option for clients wanting brighter, firmer, and smoother skin.

In CIT, estheticians use a specialized device with needles to make micro openings in the top layer of the skin. This procedure stimulates the body to self-repair with more structural support than the skin had before.

While clients can see result after one treatment, a series of three is recommended for best results. These treatments are typically spaced three weeks apart. After a completed series of three, we recommend 2-3 treatments per year to help maintain results.

A full consultation is required prior to your first treatment.

AnteAGE or HA?

AnteAGE

AnteAGE Microneedling Solution contains pro-healing, anti-inflammatory growth factors, and cytokines derived from laboratory culture of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, the specialized cells that science has determined function as “command and control” of healing in all injured tissues. AnteAGE products contain no cells or cell remnants (they are removed during ultrafiltration, the final step in the laboratory culture process). This solution also contains some HA to assist in the glide of the device during treatment.

HA

Hyaluronic acid provides lubrication and is a powerful humectant that promotes rapid re-hydration and volume enhancement within the upper layers of the skin. Because it is something that your body makes naturally it works synergistically during treatment to provide glide as well as rehydration, without causing irritation.

As you've seen there is a choice for your treatment to use either Hyaluronic Acid (HA) or AnteAge. For some your health history may mean that we will have to use HA and others will have the option of either, this is something we will review during your consultation. I wanted to break it down here so you can see the differences and advantages of each.

If you have a history of skin cancer or a family history of skin cancer we will be using the HA glide solution.
